In Case Of Emergency

In case of an accident or a sudden illness, it’s important to get treatment for your cat or dog right away. If your emergency happens to occur on a Sunday, please call our sister hospital Channel Islands Veterinary Hospital at (805) 984-9868. Unlike the vast majority of veterinary hospitals/clinics, this location has regularly scheduled office hours on Sundays 10 am – 5 pm (with the exception of some holidays) for your convenience. During normal business hours: We’re open 6 days a week: Monday to Friday 8 am – 6 pm Saturday 8 am – 5 pm If you have a true medical emergency when the hospital is open we will do everything we can to attend to you and your pet as soon as possible. Please call ahead (805) 987-6587 so that we may be prepared for your arrival. After normal business hours: Sometimes it is difficult to determine what is a true emergency. We believe it is important to be able to discuss your pet’s condition with one of doctors for your own peace of mind. What you may perceive as an emergency may actually be able to wait until the following day to be examined. On the other hand, what you might perceive as a minor problem may indeed require immediate medical attention. After hours please call our office at (805) 987-6587. When possible you will be connected to one of our doctors through our answering service. However if it is after midnight or on a holiday, the answering service may directly refer you to the Pet Emergency and Specialty Hospital in Thousand Oaks to care for your pet.
